You hear stories after stories, that it is when you are at the weakest, God can use you most. Therefore we boast in our weakness, says Paul. ( i think its Paul :P)

At the core of it, our life and ministry is not about what we can do for God, but what God can do for us. This is a principle which I thought is really important. For I have not accomplished much when I 'think' I want to do something great for God, but it is always when I didn't know what to expect that God shows up and do something great for me. But then if let's say I expect and keep expecting God to do something, would that not bring greater accomplishments because I am fixing my attention on the right thing? Hmm...
It seemed rather conflicting though, for the faith which God demands is a God-centered faith, and not a self-centered one. It shouldn't be looking at God doing this this this and that that that for me. Yet it is about what God can do for us? That is why the quote from the navigators newsletter above is now helpful.
It is about God helping us to see Him. His power, His glory, His might.
"Who am I, O Lord God, and what is my house, that you have brought me thus far? … Because of your promise, and according to your own heart, you have brought about all this greatness, to make your servant know it. "
That is the bestest thing He can do for us mankind. And it is sheer grace that He would reveal who He is to us... and how many times have I been so humbled and wowed when He came through and deliver in His kingly manner and display a greatness unknown and unheard of. Arhhhhh !!!...yea it is Him (: And yes that would be a God-centered faith, because the attention channeled, at the end of the day, is to Him who is able.
To God be all the glory! (:
